Yolanda Alvidrez, a seasoned multimedia fine and graphic artist, pursued her artistic journey by studying Art History at the University of Northern Colorado and Graphic Design. Further honing her skills, she earned a degree in Illustration and Design from the Colorado Institute of Art. With over four decades of dedicated painting experience, Yolanda has made art her lifelong profession and deepest passion. Yolanda's Artistic Style
Yolanda's diverse, multi-genre art ability enables her to create a variety of styles from simple ink line work to explosive abstract canvas paintings. Her art incorporates materials including, acrylics, pastels, inks, pencils, and collages. The exuberance of Yolanda's art is defined by the interplay of colors, lines, shapes, and textures that flow to create a cohesive canvas to make her work highly expressive and uniquely her own.
Inspiration and Imagination
She lets each composition unfold as she creates. This playful and joyful quality is the hallmark of her ability to create abstractions. Her inspirations and subjects in her art are inspired by anything she wants them to be — whatever her imagination conjures up. She may be inspired by a person, animal, object, building, landscape, or simply a color. She immerses herself allowing color, light, shadow, form, and line to marry until they aesthetically and emotionally feel just right to her eyes, heart, and soul.

Yolanda is a Colorado native. She spent her youth growing up in the beautiful mountains of Idaho Springs and now lives in Northern Colorado with her family. With a zest for life and an insatiable curiosity, Yolanda finds joy in exploring various avenues of self-expression and leisure.
When she's not immersed in the adventures of motherhood or spending quality time with her family and friends, Yolanda retreats to her art studio, where her imagination takes flight. Painting has become her sanctuary, allowing her to unleash her emotions onto the canvas and create captivating works of art. With a glass of her favorite wine by her side, Yolanda dives into a world of colors, brushstrokes, and limitless possibilities.
